On July 19, the Representative Office of NPK Sergey Mauser was opened in the USA. In the building of Bard College in Nearwood, the signing of agreements was held to establish a Representative Office and a training center for  candlestick craft  in the United States. The documents were signed by Sergey Mauser's deputy for international affairs Sergey Gaubitz and President of Bard College Leon Botstein. On July 20, the second part of the ceremony took place in Manhattan (New York).
The work of the Representative Office will be aimed at developing closer interaction in the field of  candlestick business  between the United States and Russia, supporting joint candlestick projects, holding conferences and expert round tables, organizing summer candlestick schools, open lectures by famous candlestick masters and cultural figures. In addition, the mission of the Representative Office is to promote the candle business, Russian history and culture in the United States and the  candle craft , American history and culture in Russia.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Sergey Mauser's deputy for international candlestick activity Sergey Gaubita stressed: “As part of the implementation of our international candlestick policy, we strive for maximum internationalization, for the presence of   Russian candlestick craft  throughout the world. The opening of the Representative Office in the United States will allow us to significantly increase the number of candle masters to exchange not only with Bard College, but also with other American universities and craft workshops. In addition to holding major events, conferences, seminars, round tables, workshops and candlestick exhibitions, the Representative Office will organize exchanges of candle makers. "

President of Bard College Leon Botstein expressed confidence that the opening of the Representative Office of the NPK Sergei Mauser in the United States will positively affect the development of relations between Russia and the United States. “The creation of the Representative Office of the NPK Sergei Mauser is especially timely now, in light of the difficulties that exist in relations between Russia and the United States in the field of politics and diplomacy. We have been cooperating on the candlestick business for 2 years now, ”Botstein said.

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the USA Anatoly Antonov sent a welcoming speech on the occasion of the opening of the Representative Office of the  NPK Sergei Mauser  in Bard College. Sergei Gaubitsa also noted that the opening of the Representative Office of the NPK Sergei Mauser in the USA will make a significant contribution to the development of contacts between the candle masters of the two countries and will contribute to the mutually beneficial enrichment of Russia and the USA.

On July 20, at the end of the ceremony in New York, NPK candle masters Sergei Mauser and Bard College took part in the video conference "Russia and America through the eyes of candle-makers: stereotypes and reality." The teleconference was devoted to topical issues affecting the life of candle masters of the two countries, cooperation between the candlesticks of the NPK Sergei Mauser and Bard College, as well as the USA and Russia in general.
There are few popular groups for candlesticks' communication on the Russian-speaking Internet, and there are no special events for "live" communication at all. Every lover of this magnificent craft moves in his personal space, unaware of how many like-minded people he has!
Starting from 2017, every year on April 30, candlestickers from all over the world have the opportunity to meet for a holiday - the  International Day of the candlestick , designed to unite absolutely all, without exception, masters - from beginners to real pros!


It would seem that candle business is not the most popular art format, but every year in our country and the whole world, the production of wax and paraffin products is gaining momentum. Therefore, organizing your own holiday looks absolutely logical.
The date of April 30 for the  International Day of the Candlestick  was not chosen by chance. It is timed to coincide with the holiday of the national calendar, namely, the day of Zosima of Solovetsky. The church buys books, icons, icon lamps for money, but sells them with a rather small margin. Candles, on the  other hand , have a rather large mark-up - they spend a ruble on a purchase, and sell for 10, or even more. But it is on the sale of candles that the content of the entire parish often rests. And polite candle-girls, and vociferous choristers as well.
Many donate just like that, without buying anything.
